easter egg hunt #2

On Sunday, after church, we headed over to gr & gr K's for a yummy easter dinner, followed by an easter egg hunt.
i can remember easter egg hunt's growing up, my dad would go all out hiding the eggs. Sometimes the egg hunts were like scavenger hunts where one egg would have a clue leading to the next and so on, until we finally made it to our easter present (i think we were teenagers then... so they had to spice it up a little to keep us interested). When I was little we would always do easter at my gr& gr k's house and there was always an easter egg hunt there as well. So here are a few pics from aspen & collin's hunt.

Aspen was a little confused at first about whether it was a basket... or a hat.

There were a couple of eggs hidden on the swing set, so she had to take the quick way down. I love that her hair is blowing straight back, like she's going so fast.

Gr & Gr were considerate of the excess of candy that these kids would have, so they got a little creative... some of the other fun things in the hunt were bubbles, play dough, and little stuffed backyardigan animals.. a big hit.

Collin was a good helper... helping aspen find the eggs.

Thanks grandpa and grandma!

I loved Great-gramps comment about being able to hid his own easter eggs because he can't remember anything for more than 2 minutes... including how to get to my house for dinner! Whew... they're gonna do me in!
