SPOILED... that's me, and birthday documentation #1

Okay, so i'm officially spoiled. This is my birthday present from my sweet hubby... a new piano! And the best part is that it's a digital piano so you can turn it on or off, and put on headphones to play when you don't want to wake sleeping 2 year-olds. Yeah! I've wanted a piano for a long time, but with little kiddos around you can't exactly play when they're awake or they are climbing all over you, and you can't really play when they're asleep or that won't last very long. So the perfect solution is to play silently... whenever you want. My oh so loving and wishful parents put each of their kids in piano lessons starting when we turned 8, and i think until we were 16. Heidi endured, and Cam started out in piano and then moved on to other such instruments as oboe, saxaphone, bass drum... and I took piano as well until I was pretty close to 16. And as most kids, I HATED piano lessons, hated my teachers, hated to practice, hated the songs, hated it hated it hated it. Get the point. Occasionally there would be a song tha I liked so I would put in the effort to learn it, but that was about it. So now that i'm older, I feel like such a loser for letting all that go to waste. I've continued playing a little when I find a song I want to learn, but it's pretty sloppy at best. So hopefully now I can renew my efforts and who knows, there is a lady down the street who teaches piano lessons!

Here is a photo illustrating what it's like to try playing with a two year old on site.

I love those little hands, hopefully they won't be quite as rejecting of piano lessons as mine were... ya right, I can be wishful too.
This is the cute handmade card by clark that was sitting on the piano when I stumbled in from girls camp last saturday... what a suprise! Not that I needed any more reasons to be grateful to be home from girls camp, this was just a little icing on the cake!

Thanks babe, and usual.. you've outdone yourself! He even topped the evening off with a babysitter and a night on the town complete with dinner at Tucano's brazillian grill and a movie, "Get Smart"..... what a guy!
