Here are a few pics from our first ever real family camping trip. Aspen and Clark went once last year without me so i'm not counting that. This past weekend we went with our friends the clingers to the city of rocks in idaho. It's about a 3 hour drive from home, and it's a major rock climbing destination (AKA "paradise" if you ask Clark). Clark actually left all his climbing gear at home, talk about sacrifice for the family, but that didn't keep him off the rock all together. Plus aspen got her first rock climbing lesson... getting a feel for the rock. Anyway, we had good food, good friends, and good fun!

Looks cozy, huh. Well, even more cozy when you have to take out the freezing cold toddler from her port-a-crib and snuggle her in bed with the two of you... nice.

Here are the three of us, you can't see very well but we hiked down in this beautiful canyon and up to a rocky ledge where we took a little rest. The kids didn't want to jump off the cliffs or anything.
