"It just looks like slow motion"

Here is Clark with half of his team at the starting line of this years Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay. For those of you who may not be familiar with this race, it's a 2-day, 180 mile, relay race (as in running race) from Logan to Park City. So Clark was a part of a team of guys from his work, Rio Tinto, and they were lucky enough to get their company to sponsor them and buy them shirts, shorts, food, and gave them 2 vans to drive along the way.

(as a side note: I have been wanting to do this race for the past couple of years and it just happened that this year when Clark, Cam, and LaRane all decided to run it... well, I just happened to be in a 'delicate condition' and had to sit this one out... maybe next year!)

(as a second side note: I'm thinking that since our family is growing, we may need to start thinking about a bigger family car. What do you think about finding a sweet pimped out orange van?... you don't see those parked at target everyday)

Ready, Set, Go!
(or for most of them: Ready, Set, Get back in the van and wait your turn to run)

his photo is of Clark finishing his first leg. It was 7.5 miles, all up hill with a 1,250 foot elevation gain, on a dusty dirt road at 12:30 in the afternoon. He did great! It was his hardest leg, the other two were 6 miles, and 4 miles. Each leg was about 9 hours apart. In between his time to run they would ride in the van and drop off and pick up the other runners and take a few rest stops here and there.

Way to go clark! i'm so proud of you and jelous that I could't be on your team, but it's kind of fun to be at the finish line for once. Usually it's the other way around. Hopefully now we can start doing more of these crazy things together!!!
