tis the season...

Yeah, tis the season for garden fresh veggies... almost! This has been our project (and my ours I mostly mean Clark's), for the past month or so. It's our third summer at our house and I finally think we've got our yard all in ship shape. A couple weeks ago when we visited clark's parents in idaho, we came home with a car load of garden starts and flowers to plant. I planted all the flowers and clark took over the garden. I know it doesn't look like much now... but check back with us in a couple months to see it hopefully overflowing!!! Here is a list of all we planted:

canteloupe
watermelon
tomatoes (7 plants)
peppers (9 plants)
basil
cilantro
corn
green beans
zucchini
cucumber
yellow crookneck squash

I'm so excited for salsa, grilling veggies, and fresh melons...ooh and corn on the cob. Last year we totally missed our corn because we were on vacation the week it was perfect. this year we're staggering it every two weeks so we won't miss it again. I'm thinking we really are going to be overflowing with veggies so I'm sure we'll need all of your help to not let it go to waste!!!

Let me be the first to step forward and volunteer my services to help you out with not letting any of that go to waste. Anytime you want to send some veggies our way or give us some fresh made salsa, we are there for you. I serve where I can.

Your garden looks fabulous! I love the brick liner that you have put in. You always have the best veggies... here's to a great green thumb to go with that great green lawn!

Oh Katie! I am soo jealous! This is the second year that we haven't been able to have a garden....last year we left our's when we moved. This year, I have planted a tomato plant, and that is it! I'm looking forward to having a big garden like that again someday. (next year!) I hope all of those little plants will do well, and you will have a wealth of food here soon. Yummy!!!
