I love this stage... he's so into everything! If the fridge opens two seconds later he's there, he has radar for the dishwasher and he loves to get in the bathroom and flush the toilet! I've got to keep an eye on him though because he's getting faster!
So every day for the past week or so I've sat down to blog and haven't come up with anything really worth blogging about. The holidays are over, life is back to normal, and already some of my excitement for 2010 has worn off.... sad but true. I think all this cruddy weather and being cooped up inside has started to make me go a little stir crazy. I've begun to PURGE. Not like binge and purge (although I'd be lying if I said there wasn't any binging going on)... but purging things out as in closets, cabinets, pantry, fridge etc.... So when we moved in (almost a year ago, whewsh that flew by!) we just sort of put things where they seemed to make sense and now that we've really settled into the house I finally feel like things have a PLACE. At first we just unpacked the stuff we really needed and left everything else in boxes in the unfinished basement. Slowly we started going through boxes and as we unpacked things just ended up in piles in the basement. So a few months ago, Clark built some killer shelves and that helped in the sorting out and organizing process. We put up some bookshelves and that helped a little more. Slowly and surely over the past couple months and over Christmas we have done some major purging of CRAP out of the house. It feels GREAT! We went through our filing cabinet and our entire house weighed less after that project. Then last weekend I cleaned out the fridge, organized the pantry and the spice cabinet (actually throwing out ALL expired items).

Then tonight I tackled the scrapbook closet... dum dum dum. It was a HUGE filtering of stuff that has accumulated over the past 10 years. I have such a hard time throwing out perfectly good stuff but I had to just come to terms with the fact that I NEVER use this stuff anymore. In fact it was sort of a freeing thing... weird to say but I have to admit that I'm sort of over scrapbooking. That's not to say I'm not wanting to document and preserve my family through the years but I'm just not inspired by scrapbooking as I have been in the past. What I am loving is what I'm learning in photography and photoshop... once I feel comfortable with the things I'm learning, my next goal is to learn digi-scrapbooking. (I know Heidi, I'm SO Sorry but it's true!)
I mentioned before we had a major computer crash on like Jan. 1, so we had to purchase a new computer (I still think Clark staged the whole thing so he could justify buying a mac). But I love that working on photos and digi-scrapbooking is something I can do from the kitchen table while my kids are playing and I'm not making a mess in addition to the mess my kids are making! We also finally got all the cables and connections we need to start uploading our home videos. So I guess in 2010 I'm going digi! And I'm so excited!
I'm also excited about the girls trip to St. George I'm headed for on FRIDAY! It's not exactly Hawaii... but it will be a little warmer, and it's a getaway (minus kids)... so here I come... diet coke, people magazine, pedicures, chick flicks, eating out, 1/2 marathon, facials, shopping in vegas, hiking in Zions... I'm so there!

Whew! That's a big burden off your shoulders and less clean up hopefully though Bryson looks like he'll keep you busy cleaning up after him! Such a little cutie pie! Good luck at the race and have a great weekend!
Sounds like so much fun. WIll Clark come to MT and build me some shelves? They look awesome! Miss you girl!
