It's sort of hard to believe Labor Day is already here... that means summer has officially come and gone! Trying to think back to how we spent our summer, I don't feel like I really have sufficient photos to document everything (I'm blaming that on 3 kids being enough to juggle.. let alone my camera, have you seen the size of that thing!) so here are a few instagram shots of some of the memories we made this summer!
Sprinklers + Kids = Happy times! It was extra happy times having our friends, the Reece family visit from Kansas City! Aspen and Becca were like long lost sisters.. not to mention they could practically pass for twins!
This summer involved a lot of pool time! We loved having the daybreak pool so close, and we always were able to meet up with friends there whether we planned it or not! We also had season passes to Cowabunga Bay this year. But that turned out to be a little more than mom could handle on her own. We still managed to go a few times and the kids loved it, but I think we'll wait a few more years til the kiddos are a little more independent before we do that one again! We'll still with the neighborhood pool for now! By the end of the summer, Oliver was even getting in on the pool action, and loving it! Most pool afternoon ended with Bryson asleep under a pile of towels. love it!
Oliver's first cabin trip. He's an official cabin boy now. He loves it just like all the other kiddos!
And of course, what is summer without spending the 4th of July at the cabin, with old navy t-shirts and the Oakley parade, complete with yummy free breakfast burritos and candy from the floats!
And of course Lagoon... a time or two. (is this really the only photo I have of lagoon?!?) This was a fun year, Bryson was so much more into the rides and Aspen was big enough for some of the really big rides, like the while roller coaster, the bat, and her new fav... turn of the century, or the swings as we call it!
We spend an afternoon on temple square with the Truman family visiting from KC also. We love visitors. (seriously, how lame and I with the photos)
Late in the summer we discovered the South Jordan farmers market. It doesn't quite compare to the Lee's Summit downtown farmers market, but we'll take it. We do think it has the best local tamales you can find!
Most summer evenings ended with a stroll around the neighborhood to calm a fussy baby. This kiddo loves a stroller ride.
Happy Baby! Next summer is going to be a lot more work for his momma... once he's up and running I'm in trouble!
Now that the pool has closed, it's back to the park for us! We'll take in as much of it as we can get before the leaves fall... can't think of that yet! We're having too much fun!
