So Aspen has been in first grade for a little over a month now! She was selected by her teacher to receive the "Dragon Leader Award" for being such a good friend to everyone in her class and helping everyone feel included! We are so proud of how well she is doing in school. She has a LOT of homework and it's hard to keep it all straight, but I think we're starting to get in the swing of it. She has math packets, sight word book pass offs, take home reading books, spelling sorts, 20 minutes of reading nightly and monthly language arts homework projects. whew! But like I said she is doing so well, she's got the hang of math which she says is her favorite subject and she is so awesome at reading! We've got one smart cookie on our hands! We love her and are so proud of her accomplishments. Keep up the good work, Aspen!
