Christmas Gift Exchange Idea...

We are trying something new this year with Clark's family for Christmas. Clark has five siblings and with some of us married... that makes for a lot of Christmas gift giving. So a while ago we decided to just draw names so you only had to give one gift thereby minimizing the stress of buying 6 or 7 gifts and being able to just give one more meaningful one. This year we decided to shake it up a bit. We've all been given the assignment to go out and buy a $20 gift card to anywhere we choose between now and Thanksgiving (since that is the next time we will all be together and we won't be together for Christmas). At Thanksgiving when we're all together we will put all the names in one hat, and all the gift cards in another. When it's your turn you will draw one random name and a random gift card. You then have to buy that person a gift from whatever store you drew out the gift card for. Just to make it a little interesting. Originally we thought we'd take the name and the gift card and have the rest of December to shop but we decided that since we're not going to be together for Christmas, that we're going to get up along with all the other crazy shoppers the day after Thanksgiving and do our shopping then so we can exchange gifts before we all go our separate ways. So I think it will be fun. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just next week?!? Yikes, I'm signed up to bring a Pumpkin Pie... wish me luck!

great idea! We draw names because of our growing family but this would be a fun twist instead.
