We had so much fun spending a week with the Fredlund family! They drove all the way from Lee's Summit, MO to visit us and check out all the sights of SLC! It's hard to believe it's been almost 2 years since we left these guys behind. In the short one year we lived in Missouri, these guys became our fast friends! We did road trips to St. Louis together, birthday parties, and mostly lots of really yummy food! These guys are always up for having fun, and we packed it in this week. I of course, took really lame photos the whole time! These photos are of the day we spend in downtown SLC visiting the city creek center, temple square, the conference center and museum of church history.
Also while the Fredlunds were here we took them hiking to Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood canyon, we spend a night at the cabin having fun riding 4-wheelers, roasting smokes and just having fun getting dirty (and eating yummy food!). We introduced them to Cafe Rio, and had a fun date night going out for Thai food, checking out the amazing world of Scheels, and getting dessert at our favorite place... the Chocolate! I know for certain their lives will never be the same since they've been introduced to the cazookie! The only requirement we asked of the Fredlunds in exchange for them staying with us and for our expert tour guide services was a batch of CJ's famous chocolate chip cookies... and guess what... they made us a DOUBLE batch! Oh yeah! It only took 2 extra trips to walmart to get the right kind of vanilla for the cookies, but it was totally worth it!
We were so glad to catch up with our good friends, and hope we don't have to wait another 2 years to see them again! Next time we'll meet up on a cruise ship!
