fun with flying!

 

 

 

So as I mentioned before we just returned from a great trip to visit the swapp's in ariozona. Clark was off on another business trip, so I took the opportunity to cash in some sky miles and fly with the kids to visit their cousins whom they haven't seen in over 18 months... and for bryson, he's never even met them before. As traveling with kids go, it went really smoothly! Thanks to a sleeping baby, and modern technology (as in dora the explorer on the ipod!) I was feeling it for the other mom's on the plane with cranky kids. I've so been there before.

So while in AZ, we spent a lot of time just hanging out (there's not much getting out with a total of 7 kids), but we spent a lot of time by the pool, watched the american idol finale, and SYTYCD premier!!! Made chocolate chip cookies a time or two, did some scrapbooking, hit up in n out burger (TWICE), and even got a babysitter (thanks EM!!!) so we could all go out as grown ups to a grown up meal (as in a restaurant without happy meals on the menu). It was a lot of fun.

The only little snaggle we had on the trip was me losing my drivers license... and not realizing it until I was on my way to the airport to fly home with the kids. So rather than try and fight my way onto the plane convincing TSA i am who i am with only a costco card to prove it, Clark came to the rescue and ended up buying a same-day flight ticket and flew my passport down in person! My hero!!! So we just changed our flights around and ended up having a little extended stay!
