YEP...it is SO this time of year! We are LOVING it! The first week or two the kids were a little timid of the water, but no longer! They are just little fishies. Bryson gets his floaties on (or "bloaties" as he calls them) and he's good to go. I've had to start putting the bloaties on him at the car before we get to the pool because he runs straight into the pool and sure enough we all had to learn that lesson the hard way once! Aspen has been in swimming lessons the past 2 weeks and she has taken off! I knew this was going to be her summer to really learn to swim and sure enough! In just 5 short lessons she is swimmig without plugging her nose, doing big arms, back floats, and even doing flips in the water!! I admit I was a little annoyed in January when it was time to pay our HOA fees for the pool. I even questioned if we really needed to have a pool in our neighborhood and now I'm remembering why that was non-negotiable when we were house hunting almost a year ago.. can you believe we've been here almost a year... wow! So I am grateful we do have a neighborhood pool because believe me we are getting our use out of it! It's been a great and easy way to get to know more of our neighbors as well. I'm also remembering what missouri humidity is like in the summer, and we're not even near the worst of it... but it's coming, I know it is! So thank heavens for the pool!!!
