Life... as it REALLY is...

So the other day, I decided to take the camera around the house and document some of the every-day sort of things... like how it REALLY is... First off in Aspen's room, I found that she had written this loving message on her whiteboard:

In case you don't fluently read the 4-year old written language, I'll translate: "Bryson is not allowed in my room". And don't you love the diagram to go along with it... of the curly haired stick figure with a big X through it (that's in case Bryson can't read the 4-year old written language either)... can you feel the love?

This next photo does however show off aspen's caring side a little more:

Aspen thought her babies needed a front row seat to all the kitchen action, and what better place than atop the garbage can? can't think of one...

And these last two are for those people who think blogging is about showing the world how PERFECT your life is...

Now doesn't this just feel like a place of peace and tranquility where you can just rest and enjoy yourself? Seriously?!? Why does keeping a house pulled together have to be so much WORK? It doesn't help when you have little minions conspiring against you and your best efforts day after day after day.

So this is for all our family and friends (all 3 of you who read this blog), just to give you a little slice of our life... wink!

Thanks for being so "real". I needed a dose of it this morning as I'm picking up crushed cereal from my carpet and doing yesterdays dishes!

ohh the memories of small children. Now my kids think I can drop everything to take them somewhere or buy them something. "What do you mean you don't have any money??" haha. The drawing reminds me of my two oldest. When Jake was born (2nd kid) Austin (1st kid) was NONE to happy and posed nicely for pics with him and then just let his head drop. When Jake started crawling we were in a little town house and we kept the toys in the kitchen. We didn't have many and this way Austin could play with his cars etc. Anywhooo... The day Jake crawled around the corner and his hand hit that linoleum, Austin started screaming bloody murder! Hahaha...

I'm hoping by being in the top 3 that responded that I am one of those 3 listed in family and friends. I love the reality check. I would scare myself by taking pictures. You are daring.

I am glad I am not the only one. Some days I wonder why I bother to pick up the toys just to have the girls pull them all out again.
