Yep... he's definitely TWO!!! He's already figured out how to be naughty and everything! I guess it helps that he has a big sister as teacher and mentor in that department! This year was fun because Bryson is SOOO into cars, trucks, trains... anything that goes vrooom, or chugga chugga, or beep beep! And he is obsessed with Lightning McQueen!
I had visions of creating a lightning mcqueen birthday Cake. I googled it and there is even a cake mold you can buy and everything. I envisioned it looking something like this:

But then I woke up from that dream, came back to reality and realized that is a little too far outside my scope of capabilities... but cupcakes aren't! So with a little help of some cars cake toppers we were in business! Bryson LOVED it!

Our gift to him was this little train table. They have one at pardise park and everytime we go there he is happy to spend the entire time in the train room... on TOP of the train table. So I'm hoping this one will buy us the same kind of hours of entertainment! So far so good, and there's a perfect spot for him to plant his little behind.
It's fun to finally have some more little boy toys around the house. Bryson is pretty good about driving the baby stroller around like a race car though... that's what I call improvising!
We had a fun little birthday party and invited a couple families over to take the place of our families at home that couldn't be here to celebrate with us. We made home made pizzas and had cupcakes and ice cream. When it was time to open gifts it was the typical scenario of Bryson opening the first gift and being completely entertained by it and not interested that there were other gifts, but all the other kids were. So while Bryson was in the middle playing with his toy, the other kids were fighting over whose turn it was to open his other gifts. Love it!
It's hard to believe it's been two years since we had a little newborn in a santa suit at Christmas. We absolutely LOVE our little dude... he is talking so much and has the funniest words for everything. He balances our family out just perfectly, and we can't imagine life without him!

We love you Bryson!
